Easy Way to Make a Hard Reset for Samsung Galaxy S4

It’s the final part of the tutorial, where you will learn how to wipe cache, factory reset and remove all user data from your device. If you plan to only wipe out the cache partition then you should know that this will not remove any type of personal data.

Wipe Cache Partition deletes only files that are stored in cache by various apps and programs. This is the safest wipe method you can use.

Remember: If you want to completely remove the data from your device, then you should skip Wipe Cache Partition.

Wipe Cache Partition for Samsung Galaxy S4:

  • Turn off your device
  • Boot into Recovery Mode (Press and hold Volume Up, Home and Power buttons simultaneously)
  • Select ‘wipe cache partition’ option. *Confirm

  • Just reboot your phone to normal mode after you wiped the cache partition done

Factory Reset Your Galaxy S4 from TouchWiz UI:

Follow the steps below to factory reset Galaxy S4 without switching off the device

  1. Goto Settings menu
  2. In the Accounts tab tap on the Backup and Restore option
  3. Just tap the Factory data reset
  4. Here you will need to press over the Reset Device option and *Continue (Enter the PIN or Password, if the device is locked)
  5. Finally, tab Delete All to *confirm process
