Flash Custom ROMs

Flashing a custom ROM is the process of installing a third-party operating system on your Android device, replacing the stock ROM.

Prerequisites

  • Unlocked bootloader
  • Custom recovery installed (TWRP recommended)
  • Compatible ROM file (.zip)
  • Full battery charge (at least 50%)
  • Full backup of your data

How to Flash via TWRP

  1. Download ROM ZIP to device storage or SD card
  2. Boot into TWRP recovery
  3. Create a Nandroid backup
  4. Go to WipeAdvanced Wipe
  5. Select Dalvik/ART Cache, System, Data, Cache
  6. Go to Install
  7. Select the ROM ZIP file
  8. Swipe to confirm flash
  9. Flash GApps if needed
  10. Reboot system

Important Tips

  • Always verify ROM is for your exact device model
  • Read installation instructions carefully
  • Flash correct GApps version for Android version
  • First boot may take 5-15 minutes

Common Issues

  • Bootloop - try wiping data again
  • Missing GApps - flash compatible package
  • Wrong ROM - restore Nandroid backup
