Which is cheaper, Todoist or TickTick?

TickTick, slightly, if you pay yearly. TickTick Premium costs US$49.99 a year, which TickTick describes as less than US$4.17 a month. Its pricing page shows no monthly option.

Todoist Pro costs $5 a month billed yearly, which is $60 a year, or $7 a month if you pay monthly. So Todoist costs about $10 more a year, but it lets you pay month to month. For teams, Todoist Business costs $8 a user a month billed yearly or $10 monthly, plus local tax.

Which free plan is better?

TickTick's. On 6 November 2026, TickTick's free plan allowed 9 lists with up to 99 tasks each, 2 reminders per task, 19 checklist items per task, 5 habits, 1 attachment a day and 2 members, with list and Kanban views and basic calendar views.

The same day, Todoist's free Beginner plan allowed 5 personal projects, 3 filter views, file uploads up to 5 MB and 1 week of activity history, with list and board layouts and basic task reminders. Todoist's calendar and table layouts, custom reminders and task durations were listed as Pro features.

The biggest practical difference is the calendar. TickTick gives you a calendar on the free plan. Todoist only gives you its calendar layout when you pay.

Which has more features?

TickTick has more built into one app. Its site describes a Pomodoro timer that breaks work into 25-minute intervals, a habit tracker with statistics, an Eisenhower Matrix view for sorting tasks by priority, and calendar views by year, month, week, day and agenda.

Todoist keeps a narrower focus and goes deeper on tasks. Pro adds 300 personal projects, 150 filter views, deadlines, task duration, custom reminders, auto backups and full reporting history. It also connects to more than 90 integrations on every plan.

What do you get when you pay?

With TickTick, mostly higher limits. Premium raises lists from 9 to 299, tasks per list from 99 to 999, reminders per task from 2 to 5, habits from 5 to 299 and attachments from 1 to 199 a day. It also unlocks multiple calendar views, task duration, email reminders, AI features and extra themes and statistics.

With Todoist, you unlock new ways of working. Pro adds the calendar and table layouts, Task Assist and unlimited Ramble sessions, and raises file uploads from 5 MB to 100 MB. If the free plan already covers your lists, TickTick's upgrade is mainly about room to grow, while Todoist's upgrade changes what the app can do.

Which is better for teams?

Todoist. Its Business plan gives each member everything in Pro plus a shared team workspace, with up to 500 team projects, team roles and permissions, shared templates, team activity logs and central billing.

TickTick is mainly a personal app. Premium raises its member limit from 2 to 29, which is enough for a family or a small group sharing lists, but its pricing page shows no separate team plan.

Todoist also covers more devices, with apps for Apple Watch and Wear OS as well as Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone, iPad and Android. TickTick has apps for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, iPadOS and Android, plus a web app and a browser extension.
