LivingSocial Was Hacked? Attack Had Affected on More Than 50 Million Customers
On Friday: The LivingSocial deals website was hacked. The hackers attacked on the computers and gained the access to servers which contains the personal data of more than 50 million of its customers.
The hackers stole the personal data of it’s customers. The officials said that the data that had been stolen includes Name, Email address, encrypted passwords and the security questions.
Fortunately, the hackers were unable gain the access to the database of the website which contains the credit cards information about the customers. The customers from South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, and Philippines had not impacted by the security breach since their data were store on other servers however the customers from others countries still impacted by security breach…
How to Get LivingSocial accounts Back?
The officials advised users and added a banner notice on the website livingsocial for customers to update their profiles information as soon as possible. There had been an email sent to all customers written by CEO Tim O’Shaughnessy who gives advice to his customers to change their passwords.
