How to Factory Reset in Samsung Galaxy S5

Hint: You must should factory reset your Samsung Galaxy S5 device if you decides to sell it to someone else. Doing factory reset will wipe all of the existing data from the device.

Remember: Make sure that your device is well charged level should more than 50% – 70%, so that the phone will not be bricked in the process

How to Wipe All Data in Samsung Galaxy S5 (Factory Reset)

Follow the steps below:

  • First of all, swipe down your finger on your Galaxy S5 screen from the top
  • Tap Gear icon on the top-right
  • Here you will need to go to User and Backup section here
  • Go to Backup and reset
  • Just tap on the last option on this screen i.e, Factory data reset (Tap this)
  • Warning! Look back if any data is important before jumping to make factory reset because all of the data that will be removed
  • If you are ready, then simply scroll to the bottom and just hit Reset device
