Revo Uninstaller vs IObit Uninstaller: Free and Pro Compared
Pick Revo Uninstaller if you want a careful uninstaller with backups and a paid license you can keep using after the updates end. Pick IObit Uninstaller if you want the most features in the free version, such as batch uninstalls, bloatware removal and a browser extension manager, and you are happy with a yearly subscription for Pro.
Both run the program's own uninstaller first and then look for leftover files and registry entries. Both have a free version and a paid Pro version, and both are for Windows only. The real differences are in what the free versions include and how you pay for Pro.

Which is cheaper, Revo or IObit?
For a free tool, both cost nothing. For Pro, Revo is usually cheaper over time, because you only have to pay once.
Revo Uninstaller Pro costs $24.95 for one year of updates or $39.95 for two years, with higher prices for more PCs. Revo's FAQ explains that when the subscription runs out, "Revo Uninstaller Pro remains usable with previously released versions". You only pay again if you want newer versions. A portable Pro edition, which runs from a USB stick on unlimited computers, costs $29.95 for a year. There is a 30-day free trial with no credit card and a 60-day money-back guarantee.
IObit Uninstaller Pro is sold per year. When we checked, the page was running a Black Friday sale: $14.77 a year for one PC (marked down from $19.99) and $16.77 a year for three PCs (marked down from $59.93). These sale prices change often, so check the page before you buy. IObit also offers a 60-day money-back guarantee.
What does each free version include?
IObit's free version does more on paper. Revo's free version does fewer things, but it covers the basic job well.
Revo Uninstaller Free runs a program's own uninstaller, then scans for leftover files, folders and registry entries. It can also remove Windows apps, includes Hunter Mode (drag a target icon onto any window or tray icon to uninstall or stop that program) and comes with 8 extra cleaning tools such as a junk files cleaner and an autorun manager.
IObit Uninstaller 16 Free says it removes programs from Windows, the Microsoft Store and third-party sources, including bloatware such as Microsoft Edge, OneDrive and Copilot. It also lists batch uninstalls, a browser extension manager that blocks spam notifications, real-time install monitoring, a Software Health scan and a new Software Relocation tool that moves installed programs to another drive.
What do you get with Pro?
Revo Pro is about safer, deeper removals. IObit Pro is about removing harder targets automatically.
Revo Pro adds Forced Uninstall (for programs with a broken or missing uninstaller), Quick and Multiple Uninstall, extended leftover scanning, removal of browser extensions, a real-time installation monitor and a Logs Database. That database is a collection of install traces made by Revo's team, used to remove programs more precisely. Pro also has a multi-level backup system: it creates a Windows restore point and backs up the whole registry before every uninstall, and it moves deleted files to the Recycle Bin.
IObit Pro's comparison lists removal of "4,000+ stubborn apps that can't be uninstalled normally", deep scanning for hidden leftovers, removal of preinstalled apps and bundled software, fixing incomplete uninstalls, removing malicious browser extensions, real-time monitoring of system changes, one-click updates for outdated software and premium support. Its forced removal creates a system restore point first.
We checked both comparison tables on 6 November 2026. Revo's table is clear: browser extension removal, Forced Uninstall, Quick/Multiple Uninstall, extended scanning, real-time monitoring and the backup system are all marked Pro only, and only the Pro Portable column has "Unlimited computers". IObit's pages are less consistent. The Free page says the free version removes stubborn software and monitors installs in real time, while the Pro page lists stubborn-app removal and real-time monitoring as Pro features. Expect some of those free features to be limited, and try the free version before you buy.
Which is safer to use?
Revo gives you more ways to undo a mistake. Removing leftover registry entries always carries a small risk, so backups matter.
Revo Pro's backup system covers the registry, files and a restore point for every uninstall, and its Backup Manager lets you restore all or part of what was removed. IObit Pro creates a restore point before forced removals. Whichever you use, look over the leftover list before you confirm, and skip anything you do not recognise.
Which works on older Windows?
IObit Uninstaller supports older systems. Its download page lists Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista and XP. Revo Uninstaller lists Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and 11 and Windows Server editions, so it is not an option for a Vista or XP machine. Neither runs on macOS or Linux.
