What is System UI Tuner?

System UI Tuner will not be asking for any root but you would have to grant some permissions using ADB which is not a root. For your ease and convenience, here are the ADB commands and better if you copy paste them.

- adb shell pm grant com.zacharee1.systemuituner android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS

- adb shell pm grant com.zacharee1.systemuituner android.permission.PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS

- adb shell pm grant com.zacharee1.systemuituner android.permission.DUMP

Now we know that it doesn’t require any root but if your device is already rooted then the app will attempt to gain the root access. It will be your choice if to accept or deny the access but you will need to use the ADB to grant the respective permissions.

Another important thing to keep in mind is that this app does not guarantee to just work on any or every device. The specifics matter and it does work on any device which runs on Android Marshmellow (6.0) or above. The devices running MIUI and devices on TouchWiz 6.0 will not be able to having this application working in them.
